Día de Muertos

Day of the dead. A celebration for several days particularly in the central and south of México. Family and friends gather to pray, remember and honor their loved ones who have passed. Graves are beautifully decorated and altars with offerings are created to help their spiritual journey. For at least three days the center of Oaxaca City was filled with parades, music, dance, markets and food. By now it’s a mixture of traditional celebration and the american influence of halloween. Kids dressed up as scary zombies and tourists got they’re faces painted.
